Day 136, Photo 136: Country-long Cause
This evening was about a networking event, at which my friend James was giving the talk. As I wandered from the Ashton Court side of the Clifton Suspension Bridge to get to Clifton, I was approached by group of cyclists. “We are cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Will you take our picture?” I enthusiastically agreed and then two phones and two cameras were thrust into my hand. It was nice to stop and chat to them for a bit, finding put about their 3 days on the road so far, before they set off again.
Day 133, Photo 133: Limoncello Liquor
When we went to Rome in February, Kelly’s dad - a frequent visitor of Italy - told us not to buy any limoncello (a classic Italian liquor made of lemons) as it was better where he went. We held off and demanded some on his next trip, which was this week. First tasting was today, and I can see myself really liking this stuff…
Day 132, Photo 132: Prepared Parenthood
As we reach the halfway point of the pregnancy, I suddenly feel like we’re running out of time for all the things we need to get ready, including myself! Therefore I’ve been getting some homework in and reading my Fatherhood: The Truth book. It is a tad blokey, expecting me to be wanting to run from the responsibility and spend time drowning my sorrows down the pub, but it has a few nuggets of info that might help in the future.
Day 131, Photo 131: Bigger Bump
It was our 20 week scan today and we got to see our little bump in action again. Much bigger than our 12 week scan, it was great to see them again, with all their wiggling and it makes it seem that little bit more real. They didn’t play ball all the way though, being led in a certain way and refusing to move, meaning they couldn’t see everything they needed to and Kelly has to go back next week for another scan!
Day 130, Photo 130: Tired Trainers
After eating any chocolate that dared to cross my path since Easter and missing classes under the excuse that my pregnant wife wasn’t going either, I finally thought it was best if I picked up Body Attack again. I went at it full pelt, forgetting it had been about a month since my last visit, so I got home pretty shattered and woke up aching to buggery the next morning. Was an ace class though. As usual.
